Zumba
Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That's exactly what the Zumba® program is all about. It's an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party™ that's bringing together people across the globe. Since its inception in 2001, Zumba® Fitness has grown to become the world's largest - and most successful - dance-fitness program with more than 10 million people of all shapes, sizes and ages attending Zumba® classes in over 90,000 locations across more than 110 countries.

Masala Bhangra
The Masala Bhangra Workout® is an exercise dance routine that modernizes the high-energy folk dance of Bhangra by blending traditional Bhangra dance steps and the exhilaration of Bollywood (Hindi film) moves, seen recently in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire! This unique dance mixes cardiovascular with fun, and is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Masala Bhangra® is an ACE and AFAA approved fitness program and devised by Sarina Jain, the "Jane Fonda of India.

Belrobics

Belrobics is a belly dance inspired fitness programme like no other. Our aim is to inspire women of all shapes and sizes, to have confidence in their own bodies whilst keeping fit.

In each class, moves are broken down quickly and put to pre-choreographed Belrobics routines. These routines stay the same, with different levels within a class, for 8 weeks and then the moves and routines change. Belrobics is therefore suitable for all participants; for those who are beginners and for those who are experienced, as everyone learns new dances every two months to music that is carefully chosen to inspire and uplift the mind.

The roots of Belrobics are in Belly Dance which is one of the world’s oldest dances. It was especially created for women, by women, the movements within this dance working with the female form toning every muscle. The Belrobics dances are designed to work different areas of the body and the cardio element keeps the heart rate lifted. However, there is more to this programme than simply toning and exercising the body. The belly dance moves also increase self confidence as women feel feminine without having to be a certain size, age or ethnic origin. Belrobics is true to this principal making this programme very appealing as participants feel comfortable dancing and celebrating who they are whilst embracing and learning to love their body. Hence the strap line - ‘Shimmy your way to a fitter you’ - Belrobics philosophy is to love and embrace the body you are in and stay healthy in that body; physically and mentallyAll classes will take place within the hotel.

We work with some of the UK's best fitness and Zumba® instructors, all of whom carry official qualifications and have many years' experience in dance and fitness instruction so you get the very best from your holiday experience.

George teaches and hosts on all of our UK dance and fitness breaks and is qualified in Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Zumbatomic, Masala Bhangra and more and runs his own company providing salsa classes for school children. George has always been passionate about Latin dance and fitness and his infectious style has won him many fans in his hometown of Oxford and throughout the UK.

Vivian Perez London-based Vivian says: "Since I was a little girl, I have always loved to dance. Coming from a family of artists, music and dance have always played a big role in my life and I have danced Flamenco, Salsa, Bollywood, etc. In 2010 I took part in my first Zumba® Class and I loved it so much, it took me just that one class to suddenly realise that I could be turning things around in my life and do more of what I am truly passionate about. I decided there and then to use my existing skills and teach dance & fitness, as well as inspire others to lead happier & healthier lifestyles."

Jenny Muhlwa (Belrobics) Jenny Muhlwa, the founder of Belrobics had always loved dance and fitness. Whilst working in the South of France she stumbled across a Moroccan belly dance teacher and fell in love with the dance. She trained closely with her teacher and was soon performing. Jenny then got the opportunity to work as a dance teacher in Turkey. Here she started experimenting with different teaching techniques and found a formula in her belly dance class that really appealed. The women loved this new style: their dance improved, their fitness improved and their confidence improved. Belrobics was born and the classes kept growing.

Jenny wanted to bring Belrobics back to the UK and so set up classes in her home town Sheffield in 2007. Since then she has made many TV and radio appearances and hundreds of women have enjoyed attending Belrobics classes

The Isle of Wight enjoys a mild British climate and September sees a good deal of late summer sunshine.

Although you can dance barefoot, we recommend that you bring comfortable gym shoes or trainers/jazz shoes for your dance classes and something more formal for the evenings. Your shoes should be comfortable and supportive. Lightweight cotton socks can help you from getting sweaty and blistered feet so be sure not to leave them at home! We recommend comfortable loose clothing for the classes too, but feel free to glam it up Indian style in the evenings!
