Ballroom and Latin dance are now incredibly popular throughout the world. The performance and entertainment aspects of the dance make it just as thrilling to watch as to take part. The term ‘ballroom dancing’ comes from the word ‘ball’, which in turn originates from the Latin word ‘ballare’, which means ‘to dance’. Long ago, ballroom dancing was considered a dance for the privileged, leaving folk dancing to the lower classes.
We cover a vast range of modern ballroom dances – including the Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot and Quicksteps. We even include the Latin ballroom dances of Cha Cha Cha, Rumba and Samba, meaning you will get a full experience of all the different variations of dance. Feel the alluring pull of the glamour of the ballroom as you become lost in the romance and the rhythm of the dances that have an emphasis on togetherness, floorcraft and choreography.
Whether you are part of a couple who have been dancing together for years, or it’s your first time – our instructors will cater to you and your abilities. They will also teach you sequence dancing – where couples dance in formation and the entire ballroom is your partner. Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone – this holiday is a great way to meet new people and make new friends!
Our holidays take place in unique surroundings where you will have the option to explore your location as much as you want. We also arrange a wealth of sociable activities including nights out and day trips, if you’re not too tired from all that dancing!
Our dance teachers are some of the best from the UK and abroad, including competition winners, TV stars and festival organisers. They are friendly and fun and their passion for dance is contagious.
